March, April, May... And June 1st

Well hello there everyone. It has been a while since my last post, and boy have we been a busy bunch. Let me start off by saying... We have TWO fully potty trained kids!!!! In March Keaton and Bronwyn conquered the potty. It seriously was so easy this time, and it only took three days. We are so proud of this HUGE accomplishment that they have achieved. Now on to what else has been going on....

March: Lucky the leprechaun came to the house and forgot to wipe his green feet before he came in. Even though we had to clean up after him and all of his mischief, he did drop some money along the way, and left the kids some good old lucky charms for breakfast. They got a kick out of following his tracks, collecting the money that fell out of his pocket, and finding the green pee pee in the toilet that Lucky forgot to flush.

We made a trip up to Shaver with our good friends the Johnson's and the Hutchason's. Thanks to Karen and Jarod for letting everyone stay at the cabin! Though there wasn't much snow, we were able to find enough to play and sled in. Daddy, Keaton, and Bronwyn went on a hike up a hill, played in the snow, then sled back down. They had so much fun playing with all of their friends. One night we made a bond fire and roasted marshmallows. It was their very first s'more, and boy did they love it! We look forward to more trips up there, and many more memories to be made.

Before we knew it, it was Easter. We dyed eggs this year, and though it was a little messy the kids had a blast seeing the eggs turn colors. We had three different Easter celebrations, not including Easter morning at home. The first one being held at the kid-filled Johnson house. We had a great dinner, big easter egg hunt, and there were even live bunnies there! On Easter morning they woke up to fun filled easter baskets. The Easter bunny even hid the eggs that they dyed in the house. It was so much fun seeing their eyes light up that morning, it is truly magical at this age. Our second celebration took us to Mimi and Pop Pop's house. The kids enjoyed another egg hunt, easter baskets, brunch, and family time. It is always so nice getting together and spending time with family, we cherish these times. Our third and final celebration came on Easter afternoon with my side of the family. We had, yet again, another easter egg hunt (that bunny was busy!) and a yummy dinner. Again, a wonderful time spent with family.

April: In April we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed out to Woodward Park. First we headed to the geese and ducks. The kids loved feeding all of them, some even took bread right out of their hands. While there we saw a bunch of baby geese. Bronwyn thought they were "soooo cute!" After the feeding frenzy, we walked over to the Japanese gardens. Keaton and Brawny loved seeing the koi fish, finding butterflies, and exploring. On our way out we found one of the peacocks, and surprisingly, it got extremely close. It was a great day with more awesome memories.

May: One word..... DISNEYLAND!!!!!! I never thought that we could out-do last years trip, but boy was I wrong. Keaton and Bronwyn LOVED every second. That place is truly magical, and when they say it's the happiest place on earth, they aren't kidding. The first morning they woke up to special gifts. Keaton got a Buzz Lightyear shirt and Buzz action figure, and Bronwyn got a Rapunzel princess dress. So of course, that's what they wore the first day. The highlight for them was meeting all the characters. On the second day we went to a Character breakfast. They were so excited every time a new character came to say hello. Brawny was afraid of Captain Hook, but Keaton loved meeting him. Their favorite that morning was Minnie Mouse, and she loved them. Many kisses were given to Minnie, especially from Keaton. Their favorite rides were Peter Pan, the carousels, Ariel, Dumbo, and the Toy Story ride. They really enjoyed the new Car's Land in California Adventure too, but the highlight there was meeting Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. We had great seats for the parade, and while we were waiting they saw Mickey and Daisy. They chased Daisy down Main Street, it was pretty hilarious. The parade was awesome, and they were mesmerized the entire show. This was a vacation that we will never forget. Thanks to both sets of grandparents for coming along, and experiencing all the fun with us.

At the end of May we also went for a quick trip to Cayucos where Nate's parents bought a beach house. We moved them in and got to spend some time as a family at the beach. While we were there we celebrated our 8 year anniversary. We spent the day in Avila beach playing in the water and on a play ground. That night Nate and I enjoyed a nice dinner out, just the two of us, at a yummy restaurant in Morro Bay. We finished off the night with a movie in with the family. The trip was the first of many that we will be making now that we have a place to call "home". Thanks Bill and Becky for making it possible for us to have such an awesome place to get away to. We look forward to raising our kids by the beach whenever we want. We are so blessed!

June 1st: We now have two THREE year olds! They woke up to special birthday donuts and the movie Toy Story two. Late that afternoon we celebrated their special day at home with a Toy Story themed birthday party. Thanks to all the family and friends who came to celebrate Keaton and Bronwyn. We are blessed to be surrounded by so much love. You all made their day a very special one!

Now that Daddy is officially off work for the summer we have been spending a lot of time in our pool. The kids love the water and are currently in swim lessons. They are turning in to little fish! Speaking of Daddy being home for the summer..... We love having him home. There is nothing like having my family together all day every day. We are so fortunate to have him home with us. I appreciate all that he does during the school year to provide for our family, and I am so thankful that his job allows him to be so involved and at home with me and the kids. I have always known that Nate was going to be a great father, but he has exceeded every expectation that I ever had. I love him so much, more and more every day. Our kids could not be more lucky to have him as their Daddy. Happy early Father's day babe.

As I looked through all of the pictures from the past three months, I can't believe just how much Keaton and Bronwyn have grown. I love them so much. They are the two most amazing kids that I know, and here we are, just in a few short months we will be adding another child in to the family. I can only pray, wish, and hope that this baby is just like them. I see how much they love each other every single day, and I know just how much they love this baby already. They are going to be amazing when the baby arrives. This baby is so fortunate to have TWO older siblings who love it so much already. I can't wait to become a family of 5.

As always, thanks for checking in. We hope that you all are well. Have a great summer every one! Until September (when we will be the proud parents of 3 kids!)
