Month #17

This month has been awesome! It was jam packed with tons of fun and memories for our family. A life with one in a half year old twins (almost) is full of laughs and frustration; but mostly laughs. They crack us up daily, and they know just how funny and cute they are too.

The month started off with the fair. Daddy wasn't able to go so we went with Grandma, Grammy, and Great-Aunt Marsha. They got to try bites of a fair corn dog and soft serve ice cream, yum! Their favorite part, by far, was all of the farm animals. Bronwyn's favorites were the cows and the goats and Keaton loved the goats and pigs. They even got to get in to a pig pen and pet Psycho a six month old pig. Keaton thought that was pretty cool, Bronwyn liked Psycho from a distance.

I got them dressed up in their Fresno City thing 1/thing 2 t-shirts and took them to visit daddy at work. They thought it was really fun to run up and down the hall where his office is and scream because it echoed. This was hilarious, except for the fact that there are classes in that hallway too. Oops! So, we went outside for a while. The campus is beautiful and Nate is so happy there!

October was full of fun halloween activities. We took them to the Zoo Boo all decked out in their costumes.... A 49er football player and cheerleader. They enjoyed seeing all the animals, but could really care less about the trick-or-treating they had there. I'm sure they'll be way more in to that next year. We also took them to Hillcrest pumpkin patch with both sets of grandparents and the Hutchason's. We went on a hay ride, looked at the pumpkins, went down a corn path, and rode on a steam train. It was so much fun and will definitely be a yearly tradition that we will have. The end of the month was our yearly N8oween party. We did it up big since it was Daddy's 30th birthday. The theme was the 1920's (since Nate was leaving his twenties). The kids came for a while dressed in their 20's gear and had so much fun seeing friends and family. Thanks to all who came out and celebrated. It was a great party! They ended October by going trick-or-treating in the new neighborhood. They had such a great time, and so did we. Bronwyn got a little scared of some of the other costumes we saw, but other than that it was a great experience and made for some great memories.

Keaton and Bronwyn are both starting to understand so much. For example, we can tell them to get something and they will go find it and bring it to us. They listen too, selectively. Sometimes they will do what we tell them to, but we have been struggling with staying out of certain rooms because they can open doors now. We are working on getting locks for certain doors in the house and making sure that they are locked. They have a million toys, but they always want what they're not supposed to have or go where they aren't supposed to be. That is frustrating.

Because they are picking up everything we say and each day building their vocabulary, we started teaching them animals and their sounds. Bronwyn knows the animal sounds for dog, cat, bird, and cow. Keaton knows the animal sounds for dog and cat. They have also been learing about their noses, eyes, mouth, ears, and hair. Bronwyn can point to her nose, hair, and eyes when asked and Keaton can point to his nose and hair. They both love to tell each other "No" when they catch one another doing something they shouldn't be doing.

Keaton now has eight teeth! He finally caught up to his sister. He loves to be outside and play in the dirt.

Bronwyn, believe it or not, has a lot more hair! I just can't wait to put it in little pig tails!

Having Keaton and Bronwyn has been the most amazing experience for Nate and I. Twins are a completely different experience than anything else. Though I wouldn't want to do twins again, I am so thankful that we have been part of that select group of people who get to raise TWO kids the same age. They are the lights in our life and I am enjoying every minute of being a mommy to these two great kids.

With that said, I hope you enjoy the TWO slide shows, one for the kids and one for N8oween. Until next month everyone...
